How to get a cheap car in Singapore without buying a used car
A Singaporean man used a Craigslist ad to make a little money by selling his used car, the cheapest car he could find, for $1,500.
The car, a Honda Accord, was sold on a site called TheCarCrafter for $3,000.
The seller, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he was going through a rough patch in his life and needed to sell a car that was still functional.
He said he’d used a lot of credit cards and he could not find any in Singapore.
The vehicle had a mileage of just 10,000 kilometres and had just a few parts, including a clutch, steering wheel, and seats.
The seller also offered the car with no warranties.
The buyer said the car would be used for work and was only worth $1 a week.
The car was listed as being a 2001 Honda Accord with the registration plate GK-8.
He said the seller was going to take the car to Singapore for the first time in the coming weeks.
The dealership told TheCarCrafter that they had never heard of this situation before and had not been able to locate the seller.
They also told TheDaily Mail the seller had a history of selling cars without the owner’s consent.
According to the dealership, the buyer did not have a valid title to the car.
The Craigslist ad was removed from the site after a few hours.
